Matthews, Carter & Boyce has been named a nominee for the 2019 Greater Washington Good Business Awards.

Sponsored by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the awards recognize the leadership of individuals, businesses, and non profits that serve as “champions for good” in the community.

MCB was selected for its community commitment and support of engagement programs that encourage employees to develop and participate in philanthropic activities.  MCB employees have supported charities that include:  Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Salvation Army, Cornerstones, MADD, Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia, Home Care Partners, America’s Promise — The Alliance for Youth, Humane Rescue Alliance DC, and many others.

MCB offers paid time off for employees who are seeking to volunteer their time and also matches employee contributions to qualified organizations.

“Giving back has always been a core value and central to our company’s mission.  We take great pride in empowering our employees to select the charities and activities that we support, and to become active participants in the efforts that matter most to them,” said MCB Managing Principal Jude Covas.

Winners will be announced on June 7 at a ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
