MCB is pleased to announce Rui Sun has been accepted into the AICPA Leadership Academy for 2026. This highly-competitive program brings together just 36 emerging leaders nationwide and is designed to enrich professional development, challenge participants to grow as leaders, and foster meaningful connections across the profession. Rui is a Senior Manager on MCB’s audit team.
The AICPA Leadership Academy curriculum uses evidence-based best practices to empower leaders to cultivate skills, further their career goals and make a difference in the future of the accounting and finance profession.
“Over the past several years, my leadership journey has taken me beyond traditional client service and into areas I’ve become deeply passionate about — leading organizational change, helping our profession embrace AI and emerging technologies responsibly, developing future leaders, and supporting women in the profession,” Rui said.
“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is that transformation is rarely just about technology. It’s about people, culture, trust, and creating an environment where people feel empowered to learn, experiment, and grow,” she added.
Rui joined MCB in 2014 as a Senior Auditor. In addition to her CPA designation, she holds a MBA from Philadelphia University and a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Essex. She earned her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Xiamen University.
