Matthews, Carter & Boyce (MCB) is pleased to announce the firm has been named to Accounting Today’s Best Accounting Firms to Work For, achieving a ranking of #12 on the Best Midsized Firms list.
Each year, Accounting Today partners with Best Companies Group to identify companies that build quality workplaces for employees. The annual survey and awards program honors firms from across the country — identifying and recognizing the best employers in the accounting profession. 2023 is the 8th Year that MCB has been named to the list.
Firms from across the United States participated in a survey process to determine Accounting Today’s Best Accounting Firms to Work for. The survey consists of evaluation of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. There is also an employee survey that is used to measure the employee experience. Data and feedback from both surveys is used to determine the top firms and final rankings.
“We are proud to once again be recognized by Accounting Today for our efforts in building a positive firm culture. Since our firm was founded in 1947, we have always made it a priority to invest in and support our people. At the heart of our firm is a family, where everyone — employee and client alike — is cared for and valued,” said MCB Managing Principal Jude Covas.
MCB was recognized for a variety of programs and initiatives, including offering flexible work schedules, reduced summer hours, access to professional networking and enrichment opportunities, and special social and civic/community events. Employees are encouraged to volunteer in their community for causes that are meaningful to them, and are offered paid time off to participate. The firm’s “MCB Cares” is an employee-led initiative to support civic and charitable community organizations.
Added Covas, “In an increasingly competitive climate, we are particularly proud of our track record of retaining talented CPAs and financial professionals. We are dedicated to offering mentorship and professional growth and leadership training resources for our team members.”
“The firms on this list represent the best workplaces in the accounting profession,” said Accounting Today Editor-in-Chief Daniel Hood. “They are outstanding places to build a career.”
