Thom Foley is a seasoned financial professional, CPA and CFP with more than 35 years of experience in public accounting. Thom’s vast experience spans serving a variety of industries including McDonalds franchisees and other restaurant operators, contractors, medical/dental professionals, repair shops, real estate firms and other professionals, providing services that include:

Prior to joining Matthews, Carter & Boyce, Thom was head of The Foley Group for 32 years, where he and his team served businesses and individuals, many of whom were multi-generational clients. Thom graduated from the University of Virginia in 1983 and became a CPA in 1984. Thom is also registered as an IRS E-services representative. He began his career working in the construction and real estate development industries before joining and taking over The Foley Group, which had a 50-year history of serving businesses and individuals throughout Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland.
